Naughty or Nice?

My super sweet Secret Mom at MOPS got me this really cute notepad. Keegan immediately tried to claim it. I believe we are 'sharing' it. Anyway, later in the day, I noticed he had started writing on it. This is what I found...

When I asked him about it, he told me that he was keeping track of who was here throughout the day. I asked him if he knew what it said at the top of the page?? He could read "or nice", but I helped him with the naughty. Then I asked him why his (which is now crossed out very thoroughly at the top) and my name were under the naughty list?!?!? This CRACKED him up! I'm telling you a belly laugh Santa would have been proud of! I told him that we needed to get rid of this immediately! In between of his laughter, he informed me that he was going to leave it right by the fireplace where Santa could find it. This cracked him up even more!

Then he did another list (front)...

and placed it in poor Daddy's stocking(back).

I am extremely concerned about Santa seeing this list. Going to have to remember to make sure there is no 'evidence' near the chimney!!!
Merry Christmas!

Construction 101

We made a gingerbread house this year. But we used our mistake, I mean experience of a previous year, and bought a pre-assembled home. Cheating?? Perhaps. We like to think of it as more of learning from the past. It was still alot of fun and the kids had a ball! We were also able to use some Halloween candy on it too! And who doesn't like to use up Halloween candy at Christmas?!?!?

Snow????

Saturday we got snow. Keegan was so excited! He had everyone looking out the windows. Katie was hopping up down with excitement with no clue of why, but she knew Keegan was excited about something! So it must be good! Keegan came racing up the stairs in his winter coat, snow pants, and snow boats. As you see from the pictures below, he may have been a tad over-dressed. But he still went outside and had a ball!

He really enjoyed making snowballs (which he gathered from the lawnchairs) and throwing them at the fence. Hope the neighbors didn't mind...

Happy 2nd Birthday Katie-girl!!

Katie turned two last Monday!! Craziness!! We celebrated with family by going to one of those restaurants where they cook the food in front of you. We thought it would be fun and that it would keep the kids entertained. What we didn't anticipate was that when they did the flame part of the 'show' at the beginning that it would scare Katie and make her on edge the rest of the meal. tehe sorry kiddo! Best laid plans...

Merry Bat-mas??

Having a little trouble getting through the doorway...

Quick as a flash...

Best shot I could get of her looking out of one of the eyeholes with both her eyes!
*All of this 'trying' out of the batwings was done while brother was preoccupied playing with his buddy Rooney.
So if we could keep it between us ~ that would be awesome!*

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

We went to a local mall that has Mary Engelbreit's " 'Twas the Night Before Christmas" on display. It was really neat and FREE! The kids really enjoyed seeing the pictures and reading the story aloud. Keegan was so excited he was hopping up and down. It was really cute! And then afterwards, the kids can make their own coloring books, and see other art displayed. It was really a neat display and very fun. I highly recommend it!!

Katie and the Christmas Stockings...

I told her maybe twice. She picked up on it that quick! Now, I don't know if she realizes that Santa leaves things in there for her on Christmas morning??

Christmas Card States

So one of my bloggie friends, If Only I had Superpowers, does this thing where they keep track of which states they receive Christmas cards from. I thought it was such an awesome idea, we are doing it this year. Printed off the map, and are marking which states. We don't have the cool stars, so we are using a silver sharpie. So far, Keegan has enjoyed circling the states.

So, how ya been??

Hope everyone is doing well!! We've been busy around here preparing for our big trip, Thanksgiving, and now Christmas. Keegan & Katie have been keeping me on my toes, and we are working through that. Nothing major, just being a typical 5 almost 6 year old, and a 1 almost 2 year old.

In November we traveled to Minnesota for my Brother's wedding. It was a nice little getaway. And for some strange reason, Minnesota in November wasn't really that busy. Odd, huh?? I flew up with the kids by myself and Chad meet us in MSP, flying in from his business trip. I flew SW, and they were WONDERFUL. On the way up. On the way back. Well, that's another story. And not to be a Negative Nelly, but I REALLY wasn't pleased. And the poor ticket agent that got me first thing in the morning heard all about it. In all fairness, I have not written SW yet voicing my displeasure, so I am unsure of how much to share. So let me just say this, on the way home, SW was not very Family Friendly. I was traveling by myself with two small children both ways. To trip - Awesome, From trip - never again. But perhaps I can write SW and share my voice on ways that may perhaps better their policy on traveling with small children. I'm sure they are eager to hear from me, aren't you??

Since we were in MSP, we decided to visit Mall of America. So cool! I really do enjoy that mall. So much to see, so much to do!! Below are pictures...
