THIS JUST IN ~ Mom's Chocolate Stash has been discovered!!!

I knew it was a matter of time, but at 7:30 AM my chocolate stash was discovered by a young man making oatmeal. The details are sketchy, but the alarm was sounded and said young man was asked to forget what he saw. He also was asked to work further down on the counter. Hopefully the measures taken will be drastic enough to save the chocolate! SAVE THE CHOCOLATE!!!

Katie's First Day at MOPS School

I was asked to be a DGL again this year, and accepted. We had our DGL meeting this morning, before our official beginning meeting in early September. I'm really looking forward to M*O*P*S this year, but was EXTREMELY concerned about Katie in the nursery during our meeting. I didn't have big brother take her into his classroom during the meeting this year. So I sold it. I sold MOPS school like it's never been sold before! I got her her own "backpack", we took pictures before we left, we went out to eat afterwards, and we called Grandma afterwards. She did AWESOME! She did cry a bit in the beginning, but then was fine. In fact, when I went in to pick her up she was having so much fun playing she just kept going! It was awesome! I was so proud of her! I REALLY am hoping that she will find the joy in playing with the other kids for EVERY meeting and this will be a mute issue. Not like the entire sleeping thing...

$5 + 3 Hours Elbow Grease = 1 Great Buy!!!

I found this stroller at Goodwill. It was marked $5, and it was a Chic*co. As I can not pass up a bargain, I purchased it immediately. Now, it was covered in spiderwebs (some still occupied by the spiders - YUK!!), and did have a couple spots on it. But I cleaned it all up, washed everything, patched the basket underneath, and killed several spiders (RIP), and Good as New!!! This stroller retails for $170!! I was so stoked!!! Best of all - Katie LOVES it!! Goodness I love a bargain!! ;-)

If we could take a minute to say goodbye to the spiders that once occupied this stroller. As they were 'relocated' to the bottom of my shoe I almost felt bad. But luckily the 'high' of the fantastic bargain was able to help me carry on!! ;-)

Round One

After about 30 minutes of crying, fit throwing, and who knows what else throwing ~ Round One goes to KaeKae...

Yes the child was wearing pj's when I put her to bed. Not quite sure why she choose to take off her current pair of pj's and then proceed to pull all of her other pj's out of the drawer and sleep with them. Riddle me that???

I did not know there was going to be a Round 4. But, this is the second night in a row that I have gone in to check on her and found her asleep standing up!! Just don't know how to call this round??? Technically she is asleep in bed, partly, anyway, right??? You tell me, who wins round 4????

When I asked Keegan if he made any new friends at school, this was his comment, "No, I didn't have time. Maybe tomorrow." His teacher must keep them VERY busy!! ;-)

Chad, Katie, & I walked him to school. I walked him into the classroom. He handled it like a pro. I am so proud of him! Way to go Little Buddy!!!

Adoption Reunion ~ Sunday Morning

On the last morning of the reunion, we went to #Grant's#Farm#. It was a lot of fun to have a little more time with the families. I greatly appreciate all the families that were able to make it back for the reunion. I look forward to the next one, where even more families will hopefully be able to make it. I miss them already...
