Seeing a friend I hadn't seen in awhile

I got to meet up with my friend Tori, who also was briefly back in our hometown. It was great to see her! We had so many adventures in High School. Tori is a kind, adventurous spirit, ready to go in a moments notice. She ROCKS! Thank you Tor for everything!!

Thursday Afternoon at the Zoo

After the ZooImaginationStation, we headed out to see some animals. This was Katie's first trip to the Zoo. I really think she enjoyed it! It was such a beautiful day!! We hit all our favorite's, the penguins, elephants, hippos, tigers, and the big finale - Giraffes. Everytime we see the giraffes, I think of the Albrights. They had come to visit, and we went to the zoo. It just so happened that the baby giraffe had just made his new appearance into the world. It was so neat to be able to see the baby VERY close up. It's been fun to watch him 'grow' up! Wish I had a picture of the giraffes. I did not realize we had not gotten a picture. Especially wish I had gotten the picture on Katie's face when she saw them. Sidenote - I had just bought her a little stuffed giraffe the other day. Let's just say it was only $4, baby death grip, learned a valuable lesson - enough said. Anyway just to see her face when she say the real giraffes. It was so cute. She watched them for several minutes. It was a really great day!!
